📄️ Managing Review Rounds
Once the editorial user clicks Accept & Send to Review and completes the required checks, the manuscript moves from the Submission Stage to the Review Stage.
📄️ Uploading an Anonymous Manuscript
When the journal follows a Double-Blind Peer Review model, the identities of both the author and reviewer are concealed from each other.
📄️ Summary Section
The Summary section provides editorial users with a consolidated view of the manuscript information during the Review Stage. It can be used to verify important submission details without returning to the original submission workflow.
📄️ Configuration Section
The Configurations section provides settings that apply specifically to the current manuscript during the Review Stage.
📄️ Peer Review Discussion
As seen in the Pre-Review Discussion section during the Submission Stage, the Peer Review Discussion section provides a dedicated space for manuscript-related discussions. During the Review Stage, it is used specifically for communication and discussions related to the peer review process.
📄️ Action Tab
The Actions menu provides editorial decision options during the Review Stage. The available actions may be used based on the manuscript's review progress and the editorial decision.
📄️ Adding Reviewers to the Peer Review Process
Once the manuscript moves to the Review Stage, the editorial user can begin assigning suitable reviewers to evaluate the manuscript.
📄️ Editing an Existing Reviewer Queue
Once reviewers have been assigned, the editorial user can still modify the existing reviewer queue when additional reviewers need to be invited.
📄️ Creating Another Reviewer Queue
If the editorial user needs to create a separate reviewer queue, click + Add Reviewer and select Create New Queue.
📄️ Managing an Invited Reviewer
Once a reviewer has been invited, the reviewer’s status will appear as Reviewer Invited in the Reviews section.
📄️ How to Cancel a Reviewer
An editorial user may need to cancel a reviewer if the reviewer is taking too long to complete the review or if the reviewer assignment needs to be withdrawn for any other reason.
📄️ Automatic Cancellation of Pending Invitations
Once the required number of reviewers in the Reviewer Queue accept the review invitation, the configured Reviewer Limit is reached.
📄️ Reviewer Comments and Completed Reviews
Once a reviewer completes and submits the review, the review status is updated to Review Completed. The editorial user will also receive an email notification informing them that the reviewer has completed the review.
📄️ Review and Rating
The Review and Rating section allows the editorial user to rate the reviewer based on their performance during the review process.
📄️ Sending a Revision Request to the Author
Once the peer review process is completed and the reviewer recommendations have been received, the editorial user can evaluate the reviews and decide the next course of action.

📄️ Initiating Another Review Round
Kryoni JMS provides two approaches for managing workflow progression during the review process: Flexible Workflow and Controlled Workflow.
📄️ Mandatory Reviewer Continuation for Revisions
For journals that require a continuous review process, Kryoni JMS can be configured so that when a reviewer recommends Revision Required, the revised manuscript must be sent back to the same reviewer for further evaluation.
