Summary Section

The Summary section provides editorial users with a consolidated view of the manuscript information during the Review Stage. It can be used to verify important submission details without returning to the original submission workflow.

The Summary page displays information such as:

  • Journal Name – Name of the journal in which the manuscript is currently being processed.

  • Journal Acronym – Short name or acronym configured for the journal.

  • Journal Abbreviation – Journal abbreviation associated with the submission.

  • Article Type – Classification of the manuscript, such as Research Article, Review Article, or Case Study.

  • Article ID – Unique identification number assigned to the manuscript.

  • Manuscript Title – Title provided by the author during submission.

  • Sub Title – Subtitle of the manuscript, where applicable.

  • Submission Language – Language selected for the manuscript.

  • Subject – Subject area associated with the article.

  • Discipline – Academic or research discipline under which the manuscript is categorized.

  • Keywords/Tags – Keywords provided to describe the manuscript's research area and content.

  • Conflict of Interest (COI) – Displays the Conflict of Interest document associated with the submission.

  • Abstract – Displays the abstract submitted by the author.

Similarity Check Proof Document​

The Similarity Check Proof Document uploaded while the manuscript is being sent to review is also retained as part of the manuscript's review information.

This allows authorized editorial users to refer to the similarity-check evidence when required during the editorial and peer review process.

The document serves as a record that the required similarity/plagiarism screening step was completed before the manuscript proceeded to peer review.

  • Displays the license selected for the manuscript.

Contributor(s)​

  • Displays the contributors associated with the manuscript.

The Summary section is primarily for reviewing consolidated manuscript information. Workflow activities such as reviewer assignment, file management, discussions, and editorial decisions should be performed through their respective sections in the Review Stage.
