Automatic Cancellation of Pending Invitations

Once the required number of reviewers in the Reviewer Queue accept the review invitation, the configured Reviewer Limit is reached.

At this point, all other pending reviewer invitations within the same queue are automatically cancelled by the system. Their status is updated to Invitation Cancelled, while the reviewers who accepted remain active in the peer review process.

This automatic process prevents additional reviewers from accepting after the required reviewer count has been reached and eliminates the need for the editorial user to manually cancel the remaining invitations.

Auto-cancellation occurs when the Reviewer Limit is reached through accepted invitations. Review completion is not required to trigger the cancellation.
