When to Add a New Review Round?

A new review round is initiated when:

  • Authors submit revised manuscripts after addressing reviewer comments.
  • Additional subject experts are needed for evaluation.
  • The editor requires further clarifications or improvements before making a final decision.

Steps to Add a New Review Round

1. Click on "Add Round"

  • Navigate to the Review Workflow section of the manuscript.
  • Click on the “Add Round” button to create a new review round.
2. Select Review Files

  • Choose the updated manuscript or supplementary documents that need review.
  • Ensure that the correct version is uploaded to avoid confusion.
3. Click “Add Review Round”

  • Confirm your selections and initiate the new review round.
  • The manuscript now moves to Round 2, ready for a fresh evaluation cycle.

Action Tab

The Action Tab provides essential options for editors to make decisions based on reviewer feedback.

Available Actions

  • Request Revision – Send revision feedback to the author for modifications.
  • Accept and Move to Production – Approve the manuscript and forward it to the production stage.
  • Decline Submission – Reject the manuscript if it does not meet journal standards.

These actions ensure a streamlined and transparent review process, allowing manuscripts to progress efficiently through the editorial workflow.
